This System is Discontinued A new generation of Vaio F Series laptops is now available. The debut of these systems coincides with the Intel's release of its 2nd generation of Core Series processors earlier this year. With the processor update, Sony has moved forward to incorporate its notebooks with the latest Intel CPUs. Vaio VPCF2190X CTO is one of these models that can be equipped with Intel's new Sandy Bridge processors. This is a Configure-to-Order (CTO) model, which means that it can be customized. The VPCF2190X CTO can be outfitted with a Core i7 processor, of which there are three different kinds to choose from. This model also features a new type of display that supports 2D/3D graphics. The display renders a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is Full HD. The display, graphics and optical drive are for the most part fixed. For the optical drive you can choose between either a Blu-ray player or a Blu-ray burner. There are no options for regular DVD drives. The VPCF2190X CTO is a good choice if you want to build your own system. It allows you to pick the components you want, rather going with something that has been preconfigured for you. You'll get pretty close to the performance you desire when you go with a CTO model. |
